Escrow & Refund Policy
Bekhedmatak provides an automated Escrow Financial Protection system to ensure both clients and freelancers are protected throughout the entire project lifecycle.
1. How Escrow Protection Works
When a contract or custom gig order is established:
- The agreed project budget is temporarily held in Escrow from the client wallet.
- The freelancer begins work with guaranteed proof that funds are reserved.
- Funds are never released until the client explicitly reviews and approves the deliverable files.
2. Refund Eligibility Scenarios
If both parties agree to cancel the contract before completion, 100% of the Escrow funds are refunded directly to the client wallet.
If the freelancer fails to submit deliverables within the agreed timeframe without prior notice, the client can request an immediate refund.
If deliverables fail to meet written contract specifications, the platform arbitration committee can award a full or partial refund to the client.
3. Payout & Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds to the internal platform digital wallet are processed instantly with zero deduction fees. External withdrawals from the digital wallet to local Iraqi payment methods (ZainCash, Qi Card, FIB, FastPay) are completed within 1 to 24 business hours.
